Volunteers

The support of volunteers is integral to the efforts of World Cancer Care to reduce the impact of cancer on our communities.Across India, more than 100 volunteers play vital roles in cancer prevention, fundraising, administration and providing information and support for people affected by cancer.Volunteering is a positive way to support your local Community to aware them from deadly disease and those people who are affected by cancer. Enthusiasm and a desire to help to other are the only qualifications for Volunteering with World Cancer Care.

Knowing about other people’s personal experience of cancer can be a source of support and inspiration when you or someone you love is going through cancer treatment.
In this section World Cancer Care supporters have shared their stories.If you have a personal experience of cancer you would like to share, we would love to hear from you.We are always looking for people who have been affected by cancer, whether personally or through a relative, to become media volunteers and share their story in World Cancer Care communications and the media.
Real life stories may encourage people to get any symptoms checked out with their Doctor or go for the screening they’d been putting off, can provide hope and support to people who may be going through a difficult time and can highlight the importance of early detection and symptoms to look out for.Your stories help us engage with the public and may encourage people to make a donation or take part in one of our fundraising events, therefore supporting our work to beat cancer every day, in every way, and save more lives.
